My name is Andrea Hartman, LCSW (Florida SW11401) and I have worked in the social services field since 2002, and as a clinician since 2010.
I have worked with children, adolescents, adults and families from a variety of backgrounds and in multiple settings, including in-home therapy, office-based therapy, child welfare, residential programs, and agency management.
I have received training from the Florida Department of Children and Families to be considered an adoption competent therapist, as well as a trainer.
Additionally, I am a Qualified Supervisor for social work interns working toward licensure.
I am here to help, with a supportive and non-judgemental perspective. I see opportunities for growth and learning throughout life, and would like to help you find them too. I believe everyone has strengths we can build on.
I am passionate about helping people who are struggling to cope with difficult events in their pasts. Sometimes we get "stuck" and don't know how to get out of our negative coping patterns.
My style of therapy includes cognitive behavioral therapy, meaning that thoughts, feelings and behaviors are interconnected. I also work from a trauma-informed and family systems approach, as I believe that we are strongly influenced by our pasts, and our families.
